Everyone enjoyed both the  bobbin and crocheted icicles this month.  There will be a slight schedule change for October; we will be doing the lovely award winning bobbin lace star by Janet.  Tatting Tips will be done sometime in 2011.

Congratulation to everyone who entered the State Fair and even bigger congrats to those who won.

Remember the Orem Hobby Lobby will be opening on October 18th.  Store hours will be Mon-Sat 9AM to 8PM. Coupons and their add are available HERE.

Upcoming Meeting

Got the info email from Ramona; here's what it said.

Our class this month is a bobbin lace icicle ornament.  Shirlene has the patterns prepared for us.  Besides your basic lacing supplies, you will need 10 pairs bobbins each wrapped with 1 yard size 80 tatting thread, and 1 pair bobbins each wrapped with 1 yard gimp.

For those who do not do bobbin lace--anyone besides me?- I will bring a crocheted icicle pattern (enough for everyone)  you need a size 6 or 7 crochet hook and size 10 crochet thread.

Joyce has asked that anyone who is saving Yoplait yogurt lids for breast cancer bring them to guild on saturday and we can ship them as a group to save money.

And again it's dues month.

August Meeting

Thank you Marji for the lovely bobbin lace angel lesson.

There were quite a number of show and tells this month showcasing the various county fair winners from our guild; congratulation to you all.   The state fair entries are due this week Sept 2 (10 am-5 pm), Sept 3 (10 am-7 pm) & Sept 4 (10 am-5 pm) and are $1.

Next month will also be bobbin lace.  Shirlene will be teaching us how to make lace icicles similar to those shown below.   Next month is also dues month so don't forget to pay the piper.
